Warsaw pedestrian in critical condition after Saturday night accident

WARSAW — A Warsaw man who was walking along North Detroit Street Saturday night was struck and critically injured.
The accident happened around 10 p.m. as the driver of a Chrysler, David Skerritt, 63, of Warsaw, had just turned east onto Fort Wayne Street from North Detroit Street when his vehicle struck Corey Rodocker, 58.
Rodocker had been walking north and crossing Fort Wayne Street at the time of the accident.
As officers arrived, they began to render aid to Rodocker, who was unconscious.
Rodocker was taken by EMS to a Fort Wayne hospital, where he remained in critical condition, according to a news release from Warsaw police issued early Tuesday afternoon.
