WARSAW — Tonight’s Country Concert for St. Jude at Central Park in Warsaw promises to be a special opportunity for country music fans.
The Frontmen spotlight the talents of Ritchie McDonald, formerly of Lonestar, Larry Stewart, formerly of Restless Heart, and Tim Rushlow, formerly of Little Texas.
Stewart talked with Willie 103.5’s Chris Cage about how they began merging their talents in 2018.
Stewart and Restless Heart scored a series of hits, including ‘I’ll Still be Loving You,” and notched a solo hit with “Alright Already.”
Lonestar climbed the charts with songs like ‘Amazed’ and ‘I’m Already There.:
Little Texas is best known for “God Blessed Texas,’ and ‘What Could Have Been.”
As they began to move beyond their years of critical success with their respective bands during the 1980s and 90s, the three of them began performing together and realized their collaborative potential while touring overseas for U.S. troops.
“And man, it was an amazing experience,” Stewart said. “It was kind of a bonding thing for the three of us. I mean, we flew all around the globe.”
All three singers perform on stage together, essentially providing a greatest hits collection.
“Here we are … four years later really, where we have been doing this thing seriously and having a great time and just sharing the stage together, singing harmonies together,” Stewart said.
“Thirty No. 1 songs between the three of us, and we’re having a ball.”
The concert begins at 7 p.m. with Teague Holt, and the Frontmen are expected to take the stage at 8.30.
