News Release

WARSAW — The music has started, the dance shoes are on, and rehearsals are officially underway for the fourth annual Dancing with the Stars for Charity, returning Saturday, March 28 at 7 p.m. at the Warsaw Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at WarsawSchools.org/PAC. Ticket prices vary, depending on seat selection. There are also 10 V.I.P. seats available for the first time. The seats are in a front row unobstructed area, and come with a signed production poster, meet-and-greet opportunities with the cast before the production, plus complimentary snacks and merchandise from the concession stand.

Over the next several weeks, eight local teams will dedicate countless hours to learning and perfecting their choreography, all in support of nonprofit organizations serving Kosciusko County. From vintage throwbacks to modern hits, this year’s show promises a dynamic journey through time as the production introduces a theme for the very first time. Centered around “Dancing Through the Decades,” each team has randomly selected a decade – from the 1960s to the present day – to inspire one of their two performances. In addition, every team will perform a second dance that is not limited to their assigned decade, allowing for even more creativity and variety on stage.

Producer and Host Kris Lake says the rehearsal period is where the heart of the event truly shines.

“This is when the magic begins,” said Lake. “These participants are stepping outside their comfort zones, learning something completely new, and doing it for causes that mean so much to them. Watching their confidence grow week by week is incredibly inspiring.”

Each team consists of a Warsaw Community Schools staff member paired with a community member, along with talented student choreographers helping bring their routines to life. These students are gaining real-world performance and leadership experience while contributing to a meaningful community event.

Bri Stewart, Dance Instructor at Warsaw Community High School, said the student involvement is a highlight of the production.

“Our students aren’t just learning choreography, they’re learning how to lead, collaborate, and inspire others,” Stewart said. “Seeing them teach adults, build relationships, and create something meaningful is incredibly rewarding.”

Best of all, 100% of ticket proceeds will be split evenly among eight participating charities, ensuring that every ticket sold directly supports organizations making a difference locally. Not-for-profit organizations selected for this year’s show include Heartline Pregnancy Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kosciusko County, Legacy of Blessings Adoption Foundation, Bowling Against Bullying, Lost Sparrows, Pavilion Help Center, Baker Youth Club, and Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

The production last year nearly sold out. Audiences are encouraged to secure their seats soon. Tickets are available now at WarsawSchools.org/PAC.
