WARSAW — There’s now a petition on change.org calling for Kosciusko County leaders to clamp down on the use of Flock cameras.
The petition was launched earlier this week at about the same time Kosciusko County Council announced plans to meet in September to review the use of Flock cameras in Kosciusko County before it approves the prosecutor’s 2027 budget.
The petition says the concerns over Flock cameras, which are used to read license plates, merit immediate action to safeguard privacy rights.
The petition is seeking halt further expansion of Flock cameras in the county and wants to see the implementation of strict oversight and regulations.
The petition was started by Jodi Cox, and as of Friday morning, it had support from about 150 people.
Kosciusko County Council is expected to discuss the issue at its meeting in September.
