News Release

WINONA LAKE — On Saturday, October 18, Kids Market, Inc., a local nonprofit
organization, will host its 42nd children’s consignment sale at the Gordon Health and
Wellness Center at 100 Publishers Drive on the Grace College campus in Winona Lake.

The sale will run from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with thousands of gently used children’s
items available at affordable prices. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., shoppers can return for
the Half-Price Sale, when remaining items will be 50% off.

The fall/winter sale features newborn through teen sizes, along with maternity clothing, all
in gently used or like-new condition. Shoes and boots range from newborn – adult sizes.

Shoppers will also find books, toys, games, puzzles, pack-in-plays, high-chairs, strollers,
bikes, outdoor toys, bedding, nursery décor, and much more! With over 400 consignors,
there will be something for everyone. Shoppers are encouraged to bring a laundry basket or reusable bag to carry their purchases.

“Kids Market helps families stretch their dollars and flip their children’s wardrobes for a
fraction of the cost, making it easier to say “yes” to the things that matter most.,” said April
Nelson, Kids Market board member. “When you volunteer, consign, or shop, you’re not just
finding deals — you’re strengthening a community that supports women and children. The
sale is successful thanks to our committed consignors, shoppers, and volunteers. Because
of them, Kids Market has provided financial support through grants to 46 different area
organizations in Kosciusko County and surrounding areas since 2001.”

Not only do local organizations benefit from the biannual sales, but consignors earn 66% of
the price of their items. Kids Market uses the remaining 34% to cover minimal event
expenses and to fund grants and voucher programs supporting families in need. Becoming
a consignor is easy — visit www.kidsmarketinc.com for details.

Each sale relies on more than 200 volunteers to make it all happen. Volunteers serve 4-hour shifts during every stage of the event — from setup and item check-in to running the
sale, teardown, and donation loading.

Many volunteers return year after year, forming lasting friendships. As a thank-you, volunteers shop early before the sale opens to the public. There are a variety of roles available, from sitting to standing jobs. Visit the website to sign up to help with this upcoming sale on October 18th!
