WINONA LAKE – The Winona Lake Trail Fest is happening Friday through Sunday.

During the fest, there will be mountain bike races, kids’ clinics, live music and a bonfire, according to the KCV Cycling website.

All of the proceeds from the event will go toward helping fund the future Winona Lake Bike Park.

The events will take place on the Hauth Trailhead, and the races are scored and will have prizes.

On Friday at 7:30 p.m. is the Kids’ Night Activity in the Trails. It is for ages 17 and under and is a guided night ride. Parents or siblings can accompany young riders. Register online or on-site.

On Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., there will be the six- and 12-hour MTB Fun Race. This race is a solo, duo, or team (up to four riders, 12 hours) MTB relay with the final laps during dusk requiring lights.

From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, there will be live music, food and refreshments.
MTB Kids Skills Clinics are from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday. This is an opportunity for kids to learn and improve their mountain bike skills on a skills course at Hauth Trailhead.
The Trail 5k/10k Fun Run and Walk is at 10 a.m. Sunday.

On Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. are MTB kids races, where kindergarteners to 12th-graders can race on a 2-3 mile loop of the trails.
